My name is Kate Bruner, and I am a sophomore at Greenville High in Greenville, South Carolina. Last year I laid the foundation for SCHSD as Vice Chair, and I’m so excited to take this organization to the next level as Chair! Along with SCHSD, I volunteer for Jaime Harrison for US Senate, Kim Nelson for US Congress, and I am a member of the HSDA Women’s Caucus and Red State Caucus. Growing up in a conservative environment where progressive ideas were overlooked, I understand how important it is for the future of our state to have a voice and an impact in today’s political system. I could not be more ready to get to work electing Democrats to office this November; please reach out to me if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas!
